Welcome to The Winetasters

The Winetasters are a small tasting club based in London, England with a proud 70-year history.  We meet several times each year, usually at St Peter’s Church Hall, near Victoria Station.

Our tastings are often presented by experts from the wine trade, and several of our members have well-stocked cellars - so we run an increasing number of informal ‘DIY’ events too.  Tastings are usually followed by a substantial buffet, with food chosen to complement the wines.  This gives everyone an opportunity to revisit favourite bottles while chatting with other members.

We also get together for annual London dinners, and run tasting weekends from time to time.

Why join us?

Wine lovers have many opportunities to taste, with almost every retailer running regular events.  So why join?  One good reason is our do-it-yourself approach, which translates to excellent value for money - prices for most of our tastings are just £40.  The club has always been a very sociable one - you’ll find it easy to get to know the people who attend regularly.

You’ll be welcome whatever your level of wine knowledge: we’re a ‘mixed-ability’ club!  The tasting leaders provide lots of useful information, so it’s a great way to find out more about the world’s most enjoyable, varied and fascinating drink.  Recent tastings have included Rioja, Sherries and wines from Brazil.  If you think you might like to join us, why not try one of our tastings before becoming a member.  You’re guaranteed an informative and enjoyable evening in like-minded and convivial company.
